RAPTOR Optical lenses are the newest generation of technical performance eyewear designed for professional and amateur anglers. RAPTOR Optical lenses are Patented for their ability to improve vision under extreme lighting conditions. This includes bright sunlight reflecting off the waves of tropical waters in the Caribbean, or charging through the early morning mist on the first run during a bass tournament.

Each different type of Fishing requires accurate vision --- regardless if it is the delicate toss of a feathered damselfly from the tip of an heirloom bamboo fly rod to a wary trout, or braking the scream of monofiliment as it peels off a reel when a trophy marlin lunges for freedom. RAPTOR Optics are the most sophisticated technical performance and functional eyewear available for anglers.

Sunlight, Glare & Sight Fishing - Sunlight on the water presents special challenges for fishermen. Unique properties embodied in the Raptor Optics "selectively regulated" individual wavelengths of light in the blue/indigo/violet and ultraviolet portion of the visual spectrum. This minimizes the sensation of "overwhelming brightness" and squinting. Anglers accurately see the full color spectrum, improve sight-fishing in fresh and salt waters, and achieve improved visual acuity (scene sharpness). Further light reduction can be achieved with Raptor's thin-film Silver Mirror and Raptor's thin-film Blue Mirror Coatings.

Full Color Spectrum - RAPTOR Optical lenses accurately transmit the full and natural spectrum of colors to your eyes. Seeing the full color spectrum will permit anglers to precisely “read subtle water characteristics.” This is accomplished by regulating individual wavelengths of light throughout the visual spectrum. The initial red/orange color “visually disappears" in 5-20 minutes providing a substantial increase in color saturation and visual contrast combined with comfortable scene brightness.

Poor Weather & Fog-Whiteout - The worse the weather becomes, the better the RAPTOR Optical lenses perform. Day/night and during ALL weather conditions, RAPTOR Optics will “amplify” the colors of navigational aids, channel markers, and help spot unexpected obstructions. They “see into” fog and rain, and early morning mist. RAPTOR lenses increase scene contrast by reducing or eliminating “non-image forming light.”

Bright Light & Night Vision Adaption - RAPTOR Optics allow the SIMULTANEOUS use of day and night vision. An angler can easily/comfortably look back and forth between dark areas (below deck) and into brightly illuminated topside areas (light reflecting on the water or white clouds) ---while maintaining excellent/comfortable vision in BOTH areas.

Unique properties within the RAPTOR “lens color” appear to promote the development of rhodopsin (visual purple). This natural eye substance allows the “eye chemistry” to remain constant allowing anglers to immediately see into brightly illuminated areas or dark areas---above and below deck.

Electronic & Navigational Systems - RAPTOR Optical lenses will improve the “readability” conventional navigational systems and will enhance liquid crystal display screens, including night vision equipment. RAPTOR Optics will reduce eyestrain and improve colors saturation when reading navigational charts.

Ultraviolet (UV) Protection - Each RAPTOR polycarbonate lens block ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) light by incorporating “invisible spectral blocks” that stop this potentially harmful radiation from penetrating the eyes.

ANSI -Z87.1 Safety Standards - RAPTOR Optical lenses and frames meet or exceed established ANSI and Industrial Safety Standards, including the Standard High Velocity Lens Impact Test (Z87.1 (1989 version). Each RAPTOR Optical lens has a rugged and optically pure anti-scratch coating.
